Yum Cha Etiquette • Don’t take food from the far side of, or search through, the food in a common bowl/plate/etc. • Don’t scab the remaining food, especially if you’re the host. • Don’t leave food in your bowl at the end. • Don’t point the teapot at anyone while it’s sitting on the table. • Do grab the teapot and pour everyone’s tea throughout the meal. • Do kowtow (using your fingers) whenever someone pours you some tea. • Do fight to pay the bill.
